When he sent us his latest photos, Richard Alan included the following information: "We've practically grown up together, for we ve known each other since grade school days when we worked on celery forms together. I worked out for six months before Glenn did and I got him started. We worked out together all through High School. Before he was married we double dated and even now its always Glenn, Marlone, myself, and my date for the three of us are very close. Glenn and I have always hunted and participated in sports together. We water ski, ploy tennis, snow ski, tumble and hand balance (Glenn's a good top mon), and we have. our own business together. We do all of our own photography, developing, printing, and Marlene usually fills the orders. Whenever anyone sends an order they are dealing with the two of us, for we are alone in our business. Glenn and Dick operate under the name of Michigan Models, address: Grand Haven Michigan. They each offer solo catalogs at $1 each, and a dual catalog at $1. OBSCENITY IN THE HEARING ROOM. In Colorado recently the State Supreme Court ruled that an individual judge might permit the use of cameras in his court room PROVIDED witnesses and defendants did not object. Unfortunately such guarantees of privacy apparently do not apply to victims of congressional investigations, which are often conducted like circusses to assure widest possible publicity, particularly when their head intends to be a presidential candidate. This reporter attended one such hearing in Los Angeles which purported to be investigating the possible effects of movies, comic books, outright pornography and even of all things, physique photos in creating Juvenile Delinquents. Huge, well-lighted posters and displays of allegedly "lurid" material, movies etc. decorated the room causing one to wonder if collusion might be afoot between the supposed offenders and the committee. However, it was certain that some persons whose names were unfairly villified with blatant lies being introduced into the congressional record, were not amused by the spectacle. On the day we attended, a witness begged that he not be photographed, but the senator in charge held up the "vital business" of the day for several minutes to assure newsmen ample opportunity to get multiple angled shots of the unfortunate citizen/. Our impression of the entire affair was that of the grossest obscenity of public trust --of public officials abusing their office to attract attention to themselves. Public fornication would have been less revolting.
